On the morning of June 18, the second preparatory meeting for the Guangzhou Medical and Health Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "Guangzhou Medical Expo") was successfully held in Conference Room 101 of the Municipal Health Commission. Relevant leaders of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, responsible leaders of district health bureaus and bureaus of science, industry, and information technology, representatives from the Guangzhou Laboratory, medical institutions, transformation centers, and enterprises attended the meeting. The meeting aimed to coordinate and advance various preparatory work for the expo and strengthen communication and collaboration among participating units.

At the beginning of the meeting, Deng Xijin, Director of the Pharmaceutical Policy Division of the Municipal Health Commission, introduced the highlights and features of this year’s Guangzhou Medical Expo. Subsequently, Lin Wei, the project leader of the Guangzhou Medical Expo, provided a detailed overview of the expo’s exhibition area planning and conference activities. This year’s expo will feature 13 professional exhibition areas and 6 comprehensive exhibition areas for each district, along with multiple supporting professional conferences and business-matching activities, striving to comprehensively showcase cutting-edge achievements and technologies. Finally, the participants discussed matters related to each exhibition area and conference, confirming the preparations for each exhibition area and event.

During the exchange session, each unit reported on their exhibition plans and the progress of event preparations in turn. The participants conducted in-depth discussions on the rationality of exhibition layout, optimization of activity processes, resource integration, and other aspects, putting forward many constructive suggestions for the preparatory work.

The convening of this preparatory meeting has further clarified the direction and priorities of the preparations for the Guangzhou Medical Expo, laying a solid foundation for the successful holding of the 2025 expo. With the orderly advancement of various preparations, this expo is expected to become an important platform for gathering industry resources and promoting industrial development, injecting new impetus into the high-quality development of the medical and health industry.
