On the afternoon of July 18, the mobilization meeting for participation in the Guangzhou Medical Expo was successfully held at the Liwan District Health Commission. Organized by the Liwan District Health Commission, the meeting gathered key stakeholders in the medical field. Attendees included leaders such as Tang Fubin, Second-Class Researcher of the Pharmaceutical Policy Division of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission; Su Shiying, First-Class Section Chief of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission; He Yiming, Deputy Director of the Liwan District Health Commission; and Wei Liping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Liwan District Bureau of Science, Industry, Information Technology and Commerce. Also present were Lin Wei, Head of the Guangzhou Medical Expo Organizing Committee, as well as representatives from medical institutions and biopharmaceutical enterprises in Liwan District.


At the beginning of the meeting, He Yiming, Deputy Director of the Liwan District Health Commission, delivered an opening speech. He noted that Liwan District, as an important birthplace of Guangzhou’s traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) culture, boasts a profound heritage in the TCM industry, which serves as a shining business card for Liwan’s biopharmaceutical sector. He encouraged hospitals and enterprises to actively participate in the Guangzhou Medical Expo to showcase their strengths.


Subsequently, Tang Fubin, Second-Class Researcher of the Pharmaceutical Policy Division of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, provided a detailed overview of the background of the Guangzhou Medical Expo.


Lin Wei, Head of the Guangzhou Medical Expo Organizing Committee, then elaborated on the exhibition plan and specific details for participation.


During the discussion session, representatives from various organizations, medical institutions, and enterprises exchanged ideas and plans regarding preparations for the expo, actively sharing their thoughts and strategies.


This mobilization meeting marked the launch of preparations for the 2025 Guangzhou Medical Expo. As Guangzhou’s first full-chain exhibition platform for biopharmaceuticals and healthcare, this year’s expo will leverage the industrial agglomeration effect of various districts, integrate resources, build platforms, optimize services, and create a grand event integrating exhibition, exchange, and cooperation. With collaborative efforts across districts, it is expected to become an engine for innovation and development in Guangzhou’s medical industry, injecting strong impetus into fostering new productive forces and building a modern industrial system.
