Highlights of Huangpu Exhibition Area Revealed Ahead of the Landmark Guangzhou Medical Expo

Hosted by the Guangzhou Municipal Government and organized by the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, Guangzhou Municipal Cooperation Office, and Guangzhou Expo Organizing Committee Office, the 2025 Guangzhou Medical and Health Industry Expo (referred to as "Guangzhou Medical Expo") will be grandly held at Zone B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex from August 22 to 24, 2025. Focusing on the forefront of the medical and health industry, this expo will gather high-quality industry resources. The highly anticipated Guangzhou Development Zone & Huangpu Exhibition Area will also make a splendid appearance, showcasing Huangpu District’s innovative achievements and industrial strength in the biopharmaceutical field.

To efficiently advance the preparations for the Guangzhou Development Zone & Huangpu Exhibition Area, the Health Bureau of Huangpu District, Guangzhou, organized relevant units and enterprises to hold a preparatory work meeting on June 20.

Forces from Multiple Fields Gather to Discuss Exhibition Area Preparations

1. Government, Enterprises, and Medical Institutions Unite to Outline a New Industrial Chapter

• Government departments: Leaders and representatives from the District Health Bureau, District Assistance and Foreign Economic Cooperation Bureau, District Investment Promotion Bureau, District Science and Technology Bureau, District Bureau of Commerce, and District Council for the Promotion of International Trade attended the meeting, providing support for the organization of the exhibition area in terms of policy support and resource coordination.

• Medical institutions: Responsible persons from Development Zone Hospital and Huangpu District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine participated to promote in-depth integration of medical resources and the industrial expo.

• Enterprises and institutions: Principals of enterprises specializing in innovative pharmaceutical and medical device products, microbial industries, and medical testing; responsible persons from the District Biopharmaceutical and Health Industry Promotion Association; and staff from the Biopharmaceutical Work Task Force of the District Health Bureau jointly participated in the preparations, offering suggestions for the content planning of the exhibition area and enterprise participation.

1. Focus on Exhibition Area Planning and Discuss Cooperation Opportunities
   Lin Wei, head of the organizing unit of the Guangzhou Medical Expo, provided a detailed introduction to the overall planning, exhibition layout, conference activities, and participation procedures of the 2025 Guangzhou Medical Expo, as well as the planning, positioning, and expected goals of the Guangzhou Development Zone & Huangpu Exhibition Area.

Participating units conducted in-depth exchanges on enterprises’ needs for participation and discussed relevant support policies to provide all-round guarantees and assistance for enterprises.

As a key agglomeration area for Guangzhou’s biopharmaceutical industry, Huangpu District’s establishment of an exhibition area at the Guangzhou Medical Expo is an important opportunity to showcase its regional industrial advantages and promote exchanges and cooperation.
