Building a One-stop Hospital-Enterprise Docking Platform to Boost Biomedical Development in the Greater Bay Area

Deng Xijin, Director of the Pharmaceutical Policy Division of the Municipal Health Commission, delivered a speech, noting that Guangzhou boasts the province’s highest-quality cluster of tertiary grade A hospitals and the most vibrant biomedical innovation ecosystem. He emphasized the need to leverage the Guangzhou Medical Expo to build a one-stop hospital-enterprise docking and exchange platform, supporting the high-quality development of the biomedical industry in the Greater Bay Area.

Policies for Tertiary Grade A Hospitals Announced; Procurement Docking Session to Facilitate Efficient Cooperation

Lin Wei, Head of the organizing unit of the Guangzhou Medical Expo, detailed the participation policies and exhibition area layout for Guangzhou’s tertiary grade A hospitals. To promote efficient docking between supply and demand, the expo will specially set up a hospital procurement session — the "Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Centralized Procurement Demand Conference." At that time, hospital leaders will attend key sessions such as the launch ceremony, relevant conferences, venue tours, and special meetings.

The successful convening of this special preparatory meeting for tertiary grade A hospitals has laid a solid foundation for the Guangzhou Medical Expo to be held from August 22 to 24. The meeting brought together the city’s top medical resources and reached important consensus on exhibition area planning, academic exchanges, and industry docking, which will effectively enhance the effectiveness of the expo.
