On the morning of July 16, the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission organized private hospitals across the city to hold the fourth preparatory work meeting for the Guangzhou Medical Expo. The meeting aimed to gather private medical resources, discuss industry development, and inject new momentum into the 2025 Guangzhou Medical and Health Industry Expo, which will be held from August 22 to 24 in Zone B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex. Attendees included Li Tiegang, Party Member and Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission; Tang Fubin, Second-Class Researcher of the Pharmaceutical Policy Division of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission; Su Shiying, First-Class Section Chief of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission; Lin Wei, Head of the Guangzhou Medical Expo Organizing Committee; and presidents, principals, and representatives from over 50 private hospitals.

Tang Fubin, Second-Class Researcher of the Pharmaceutical Policy Division of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, emphasized that they will firmly implement the work arrangements of the municipal government and the municipal health commission, integrate the city’s superior resources, and provide strong support for private hospitals’ participation in the expo. Through the government platform, they will build a high-level exhibition window for private medical institutions, create more cooperation opportunities, and promote the overall improvement of the private medical industry.

In his speech, Su Shiying, First-Class Section Chief of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, noted that the Guangzhou Medical Expo is committed to building a professional platform for showcasing innovative achievements. The municipal health commission will provide guidance and service support throughout the process, offering suggestions from pre-expo preparations to on-site execution to ensure that participating units achieve the best exhibition results and business cooperation opportunities.

Lin Wei, Head of the Guangzhou Medical Expo Organizing Committee, elaborated on the expo’s planning, advantages, highlights, and conference activities. He highlighted the core values of the expo for private hospitals’ participation: first, enhancing brand credibility through participating in a government-organized expo; second, attracting targeted patients through interactive activities such as health screenings and expert free consultations; third, introducing cutting-edge international medical technologies and equipment; and fourth, obtaining comprehensive solutions for smart hospital construction. The Guangzhou Medical Expo will give full play to its platform advantages to comprehensively empower private hospitals in transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development.

At the end of the meeting, Li Tiegang, Party Member and Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, delivered a concluding speech. He emphasized that all relevant units should cooperate closely to steadily advance various preparatory work and ensure the smooth holding of the Guangzhou Medical Expo. He also expressed hope that private hospitals will actively participate, stating that efforts will be made to effectively help them improve exhibition benefits and jointly contribute to the development of Guangzhou’s medical and health cause.

The convening of this work meeting marks a new stage in the preparations for the Guangzhou Medical Expo. Under the overall guidance of the municipal health commission, the government, medical institutions, and enterprises will further strengthen collaboration, give full play to the platform’s role, help private hospitals showcase their innovative development achievements, and jointly promote the prosperity of the biomedical industry in the Greater Bay Area.
